Collapse, Hop gallery, Tallinn
13.10 – 01.11.2016
collaboration with Pilleriin Jürisoo

The initial impulse behind the exhibition was the meaning of gold as a material to guarantee social agreements and systems, and which offers certainty between surrounding changes and crises. To represent the powerless and hopeless feeling caused by accumulating crises, the artists created installation which complemented the visual perception related to jewellery art with unconscious space experience. In the environment on installation, the works resonated with the surrounding room, continuing building illusion and delusion through forms and subtle and non-permanent materials such as porcelain and sand.
Collapse was a first joint exhibition of Merle Kasonen and Pilleriin Jürisoo.
